![]() The Amazon listing gives the "Platform" as "Windows 8", but the box says Windows 8, Windows 7 or Windows Vista. It was cheaper to start a new package rather than upgrade the existing 3-computer subscription to cover a 4th computer. I bought this package recently (June 2014) to protect a new Windows 7 Netbook, which was our 4th computer in use. The initial package from Amazon comes with a 12-month subscription, but renewing the subscription after the initial subscription has expired can cost more than the initial package. The only slight annoyance is the pricing policy. I have never had a computer fail due to infection by virus while protected by Panda products, yet if I look at the Panda "Event Report" it shows that the Panda product has been very busy fending off threats behind the scenes. Panda products are easy to install and they do not noticeably slow down our computers. I have been using Panda products for a number of years. I'm not holding my breath about it though. (Many forum posts says the panda solution doesn't work.) Atm I'm believing windows & hope panda fixes their software. I personally think its a bug they should fix, and don't fancy messing around for an hour or more to no avail. I installed panda after the update, but their support centre insists that I should uninstall and reinstall it. So who do I believe? After the windows 8.1 update a few programs like Google Chrome stopped working for a couple of days until they were patched. The reason why I only gave it 3 stars is that it keeps insisting that I don't have the firewall turned on, but windows security says that panda firewall is on. It would, use a lot of the system resources, and slow down the computer (even though I have a medium spec laptop, i5 processor, 8Gb RAM,).Anyway Panda promises and delivers on protecting your machine without slowing it down.
